1950: The River Retires

Human transportation patterns change with the explosion of cars and trucks and the network of roadways that serves them. The Little Bonnechere River has its last log drive. While the river valley remains a natural travel corridor for people and wildlife, but the waterway ends its long history as a tool of commerce.
